04/11/10 through 12/05/10 - Outdoor Rifle Range Public Shooting
-
The outdoor 100yd rifle & pistol range will be open to the public on Sunday
morning from 9AM until Noon (except during scheduled clinics or matches). Any
rifle, pistol, or shotgun (except full automatic) may be used. Target frames
will be supplied for use with rifle, pistol, and rifled-slug only. If you wish
to pattern a shotgun, you will need to bring your own target frame. Bring any
other equipment and supplies you will need. Eye and ear protection is
required. Shooters will be required to sign a waiver, and obey the
commands of a Range Safety Officer. Juniors, under the age of 18, must be
accompanied by a duly licensed adult. The cost is $15 for adults and no charge

07/22/10 - Thursday Evening Smallbore Rifle League

Participants may use any .22 caliber rifle with either iron sites or an optical
rifle scope set to no greater than 4x power. The course of fire is 40 scored
rounds, all fired from the prone position in slow fire strings, from 50 and
100yds. The 50 yard targets are NRA Official Competition A-23/5 targets. The 100
yard targets are NRA Official Competitions A-25 targets. A limited number of
loaner .22 target rifles are available. Sign-up is at 5:30PM at the outdoor
range. There is no cost for participants that provide their own regulation
targets and ammunition. Targets will be available at a cost of $1 per target
sheet. Ammunition will be available at $4 per 50 round box. This event is open

Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association Basic Handgun Safety Course. This
course meets the requirement for all new applicants applying for a License to
Carry Firearms or a Firearms Identification Card in the Commonwealth. The course
does not require previous experience in handling firearms. It is held on one
Sunday from 9AM-3PM. The cost is $75. The course is limited to 25 participants
and advance registration is recommended. This course is open to the public. The
indoor range will be closed during class times.

07/29/10 - Thursday Evening Smallbore Rifle League
08/01/10 - Handgun Steel Plate Shoot

Shoot using your own centerfire handgun (.38/9mm minimum), with any sights.
Bring approximately 50 rounds or more; frangible or full metal jacket ammo is
recommended. Lead and hollow point ammunition is discouraged. A speedloader or
spare magazine is also recommended. Detailed course of fire TBD. Eye and ear
protection is required. Juniors must be accompanied by a duly licensed adult.
There is no cost for members and guests. Non-members are subject to the Outdoor
Range public shooting fee ($15). The shoot begins at 10:00AM at the outdoor range.

09/26/10 - CMP High Power Rifle Clinic And Match (3rd of 4)

This clinic will consist of about two hours of classroom instruction
(marksmanship, operation, maintenance, etc.) using various US service rifles,
followed by live firing of a full CMP/DCM match (50 scored rounds, 3 positions,
slow and rapid fire). CMP Certificates of Completion will be issued, and
participants will qualify for the purchase of CMP M1 Garand rifle. Sign-up
begins at 8:30AM at the clubhouse. The match fees are listed below. Loaner
rifles (M1's and a few AR-15's) will be available if we know you are coming.
Juniors have first call on the loaner AR-15's. This clinic is open to the public
and limited to 30 shooters.
