04/10/11 through 12/11/11 - Outdoor Rifle Range Public Shooting

• The outdoor 100yd rifle & pistol range will be open to the public on Sunday morning from 9AM until Noon (except during scheduled clinics or matches). Any rifle, pistol, or shotgun (except full automatic) may be used. Target frames will be supplied for use with rifle, pistol, and rifled-slug only. If you wish to pattern a shotgun, you will need to bring your own target frame. Bring any other equipment and supplies you will need. Eye and ear protection is required. Shooters will be required to sign a waiver, and obey the commands of a Range Safety Officer. Juniors, under the age of 18, must be accompanied by a duly licensed adult. The cost is $20 for adults and no charge for juniors. For more info, email to Public Shooting Info.

12/18/11 through 04/08/12 - Outdoor Rifle Range Public Shooting (By Appointment)

• The outdoor 100yd rifle range will be open to the public on Sunday morning from 9AM until Noon by appointment only. Non-members wishing to use the range during the winter months must make a reservation one week in advance by sending email to Public Shooting Info, or by calling the clubhouse at (978) 283-0304.

10/30/11 - Basic Handgun Safety Course

• Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association Basic Handgun Safety Course. This course meets the requirement for all new applicants applying for a License to Carry Firearms or a Firearms Identification Card in the Commonwealth. The course does not require previous experience in handling firearms. It is held on one Sunday from 9AM-3PM. The cost is $75. The course is limited to 25 participants and advance registration is recommended. This course is open to the public. The indoor range will be closed during class times. 11/09/11 - Regular Monthly Meeting

• Come offer your input on club issues. Includes a 50/50 raffle with various prizes.

11/20/11 - CMP High Power Rifle Clinic And Match (4th of 4)

• This clinic will consist of about two hours of classroom instruction (marksmanship, operation, maintenance, etc.) using various US service rifles, followed by live firing of a full CMP/DCM match (50 scored rounds, 3 positions, slow and rapid fire). CMP Certificates of Completion will be issued, and participants will qualify for the purchase of CMP M1 Garand rifle. Sign-up begins at 8:30AM at the clubhouse. Loaner rifles (M1's and a few AR-15's) will be available if we know you are coming. Juniors have first call on the loaner AR-15's. This clinic is open to the public and limited to 30 shooters. 12/18/11 - CASC "Battle of the Bulge" Match

• This match is to commemorate the "Battle Of The Bulge" of WWII. Any World War II US Service rifle may be used (M1 Garand / M1 Carbine, or earlier). M1A/M14 or later is not suitable. Rifles should be in "as issued" condition. Bedding, globe sights, etc. are discouraged. The course of fire will be 3 strings of 25 rounds, each string fired in two minutes at silhouette targets from 100yds. All strings will be fired from the prone position. Five sighting rounds will be allowed. Sign-up begins at 8:30AM at the outdoor range, first shot at 9:00AM. Juniors, under the age of 18, must be accompanied by a duly licensed adult. Loaner rifles (M1 Garands and M1 carbines) will be available if we know you are coming. Juniors have first call on the loaner carbines. This match is open to the public.
