04/13/08 through 12/07/08 - Outdoor Rifle Range Public Shooting

The outdoor 100yd rifle & pistol range will be open to the
public on Sunday morning from 9AM until Noon (except
during scheduled clinics or matches). Any rifle, pistol,
or shotgun (except full automatic) may be used. Target
frames will be supplied for use with rifle, pistol, and
rifled-slug only. If you wish to pattern a shotgun, you
will need to bring your own target frame. Bring any other
equipment and supplies you will need. Eye and ear
protection is required. Shooters will be required
to sign a waiver, and obey the commands of a Range Safety
Officer. Juniors, under the age of 18, must be accompanied
by a duly licensed adult. The cost is $15 for adults and

06/07/08 - CASC D-Day Shoot

This match is to commemorate the D-Day Invasion of WWII. Any period service
rifle in used by any country of either side during the invasion may be used for
this match (1903's, M1's, Enfields, Mausers, etc). M1A/M14 or later is not
suitable. Rifles should be in "as issued" condition. Bedding, globe sights, etc.
are discouraged. The course of fire is 5 sighting rounds plus 50 scored rounds,
fired from 3 positions, in slow and rapid fire strings from 100yds. Loaner
rifles (M1 Garands and M1 carbines) will be available if we know you are coming.
Juniors have first call on the loaner carbines. Sign-up begins at 8:30AM at the
outdoor range, first shot at 9:00AM. This match is open to the public.

Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association Basic Handgun Safety Course. This
course meets the requirement for all new applicants applying for a License to
Carry Firearms or a Firearms Identification Card in the Commonwealth. The course
does not require previous experience in handling firearms. It is held over two
successive evenings from 7-10PM. The cost is $75. This course is open to the
public.

07/13/08 - CMP High Power Rifle Clinic And Match (2nd of 4)

This clinic will consist of about two hours of classroom instruction
(marksmanship, operation, maintenance, etc.) using various US service rifles,
followed by live firing of a full CMP/DCM match (50 scored rounds, 3 positions,
slow and rapid fire). CMP Certificates of Completion will be issued, and
participants will qualify for the purchase of CMP M1 Garand rifle. Sign-up
begins at 8:30AM at the clubhouse. Loaner rifles (M1's and a few AR-15's) will
be available if we know you are coming. Juniors have first call on the loaner
AR-15's. This clinic is open to the public and limited to 30 shooters.
